Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Atwater Park is Shorewood’s premier green space, having served as a community gathering place, recreational destination, and festival grounds for nearly 100 years. From street level to water’s edge, the park offers something for everyone:  active play and tranquil views on the upper terrace; a healthy workout  on the bluff side paths and steps; a refreshing respite from the summer heat at the beach below.

The Friends of Atwater Beach (FAB) is a group of motivated community residents committed to keeping Atwater Beach a beautiful, safe destination for all to enjoy. Private donations and public grants support FAB’s goal of preserving and enhancing  a precious asset.
